1928 - Birth of the Muslim Brotherhood

Hassan al-Banna

In 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood was founded by an Egyptian school teacher named Hassan al-Banna. He believed that all the problems of the Muslim world were a direct result of Muslims not living the true Islamic life, as modeled by Muhammad and those the first few generations of Muslims.

Al-Banna's fundamentalist interpretation of Allah's religion, as well as the fraternity of Qur'an crazed lunatics his insanity put into was motion, were born of a desire to revive Islam as practiced during of the time of the Prophet.

The ideological heritage of Al-Banna's theology can be traced to an 18th century Muhammadan by the name of Muhammad Ibn al-Wahhab. al-Wahhab articulated that it was a societal need to return to the literal reading and implementation of Islam which was the source of all that ailed the Muslims.

In his motiviational writing, Jihad,  al-Banna clearly communicates the nature of the ideological principles upon which he brought the Brotherhood into existence.

Jihad

Jihad is an obligation from Allah on every Muslim and cannot be ignored nor evaded. Allah has ascribed great importance to jihad and has made the reward of the martyrs and the fighters in His way a splendid one. Only those who have acted similarly and who have modeled themselves upon the martyrs in their performance of jihad can join them in this reward. Furthermore, Allah has specifically honoured the Mujahideen {those who wage jihad} with certain exceptional qualities, both spiritual and practical, to benefit them in this world and the next. Their pure blood is a symbol of victory in this world and the mark of success and felicity in the world to come.

Those who can only find excuses, however, have been warned of extremely dreadful punishments and Allah has described them with the most unfortunate of names. He has reprimanded them for their cowardice and lack of spirit, and castigated them for their weakness and truancy. In this world, they will be surrounded by dishonour and in the next they will be surrounded by the fire from which they shall not escape though they may possess much wealth. The weaknesses of abstention and evasion of jihad are regarded by Allah as one of the major sins, and one of the seven sins that guarantee failure.

Islam is concerned with the question of jihad and the drafting and the mobilisation of the entire Umma {the global Muslim community} into one body to defend the right cause with all its strength than any other ancient or modern system of living, whether religious or civil. The verses of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Muhammad (PBUH {Peace Be Unto Him}) are overflowing with all these noble ideals and they summon people in general (with the most eloquent expression and the clearest exposition) to jihad, to warfare, to the armed forces, and all means of land and sea fighting.

[...]

My brothers! The ummah that knows how to die a noble and honorable death is granted an exalted life in this world and eternal felicity in the next. Degradation and dishonor are the results of the love of this world and the fear of death. Therefore prepare for jihad and be the lovers of death. Life itself shall come searching after you.

Al-Banna produced many more theological writings and his ideology was the genesis of many acts of terror. He worked for his entire life (assassinated in 1949) to propagate the Brotherhood's political, religious, and social ideologies throughout the world.

There is much more to be told about him. Google can provide many stories of his Jihadist activities. My purpose isn't to provide a complete history of al-Banni or the Muslim Brotherhod. I intend, at least for now, to simply highlight (in brief) some of the more critical aspects of early Brotherhood history which provide the necessary context to understand the ideological foundations upon which the current Jihad of the West is built. A much more extensive list of Brotherhood activity (world-wide) is available here.

Grand Mufti Mohammad Armin al-Hussieni

An early member of the Muslim Brotherhood (joining in 1928), al-Hussieni is remembered as a highly influential Ikhwan (Muslim Brother) and one who fought hard in Allah's cause. Al-Hussieni can only be described as a model Muslim. As such, he held the position of Grand Mufti in Jerusalem from 1921-1948.

During the Holocaust, al-Hussieni was a great admirer Hitler. They shared a common vision of a Jew-free world, found that more than sufficient grounds for strategic partnership, and worked hand-in-hand to eradicate the Jew.

Hussieni's minions were tenacious allies of the Nazi genocide machine and participated heavily in the brutal slaughter of the Jewish people throughout WWII.

Muslim Brotherhood and Hitler

At the age of 17, a young Yasser Arafat come to work directly for al-Husseini. Arafat flourished under the guidance and tutelage of his mentor and never did he forget his hero.

Yasser Arafat

We are not Afghanistan… We are the mighty people. Were they able to replace our hero Hajj Amin Al-Husseini?… There were a number of attempts to get rid of Hajj Amin, when they considered him an ally of the Nazis. But even so, he lived in Cairo, and participated in the 1948 War and I was one of his troops. -Yasser Arafat (2002)

Among Arafat's lifelong and daily goals was the incitement of the Palestinians, in an effort to ensure death and destruction were a consistent part of Israeli life. His belligerent Islamist propaganda and never ending calls for "uprisings" were the source of many slain Israelis throughout his lifetime.

At around the the same time Yasser Arafat was coming into his own, another highly influential Muslim Brotherhood theologian was forging his path into the promised blessings of Allah's graces.

 Sayyid Qutub

Propelled by a violent hate for America and time locked away in an Egyptian prison, Qutub became a legendary Islamic thinker, author, and the writer of one of the most influential Islamist literary works, Milestones (full text available here).

Milestones

The way to establish God's rule on earth is not that some consecrated people - the priests - be given the authority to rule, as was the case with the rule of the Church, nor that some spokesmen of God become rulers, as is the case in a 'theocracy'. To establish God's rule means that His laws be enforced and that the final decision in all affairs be according to these laws.

The establishing of the dominion of God on earth, the abolishing of the dominion of man, the taking away of sovereignty from the usurper to revert it to God, and the bringing about of the enforcement of the Divine Law (Shari'ah) and the abolition of man-made laws cannot be achieved only through preaching. Those who have usurped the authority of God and are oppressing God's creatures are not going to give up their power merely through preaching; if it had been so, the task of establishing God's religion in the world would have been very easy for the Prophets of God! This is contrary to the evidence from the history of the Prophets and the story of the struggle of the true religion, spread over generations.]

While this was a brief introduction to the formation of the Brotherhood, what I hope to communicate is not the entire sorted history of the Brotherhood's beginnings, but just enough to bring to light the ideology behind the movement.

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded on the core principles of Islam and the inherent desire of "real" Muslims to subdue the world in Sharia. Al-Banna's call to return to "true Islam" created a multi-generation group of murderous, subversive, and genocidal Allah-addicts, bent on neutralizing every Jew and bringing about the rise of Sharia law.

One only needs to look at the origins of this Islamic movement to understand the truly horrifying ends the Brotherhood seeks. Since it's inception, the Brotherhood has been expanding, modernizing, and mastering the art of Jihad.

To date, the Brotherhood has infiltrated, subverted, and made a mockery out of the governments and national security apparatuses in western countries. The ideology of the Ikhwan and those Allah-loving adherents pose an immediate danger the survival of the entire western way of life.

It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. -Thomas Jefferson
